The BTR 6.4L HEMI VVT 228 is the aggressive grind for the 392 SRT platform. Four more degrees of intake duration over the 224, pushing the rev ceiling to 7,000 RPM with a 9/10 chop scale at idle. Rated at 50+ HP and 46 lb/ft. If this car is a weekend weapon and you're running an aftermarket converter, this is the cam.
Daily drivability is compromised — the 228 makes noise at idle and wants a converter that matches the RPM range. Get the car tuned properly after fitment. IMS dyno-tunes every HEMI build in-house.

224 vs 228 — The Call
The 228 is four degrees more cam than the 224, with a tighter LSA (111 vs 111.5) that sharpens the power band at the cost of low-end grunt. The 9/10 chop is real — this cam announces itself. If the car is used on the street regularly or you're not running an aftermarket converter, the 224 is the better choice. If it's a dedicated weekend car, the 228 rewards you at the top end.
