HSV Engine Variants
HSV used LS2 and LS3 engines across the VE and VF model ranges. Engine fitment varies by model and build date:

BTR Range for HSV LS Engines
BTR produces hydraulic roller camshafts that fit the LS2 and LS3 engines used in HSV vehicles. The naturally-aspirated range covers mild street profiles through to high-lift aggressive grinds. BTR also produces a dedicated forced induction cam range for supercharged and turbocharged applications.
LSA and LS9 supercharged models require a different approach to cam selection — the blower changes the dynamic significantly. If your HSV is factory or aftermarket supercharged, that needs to be part of the conversation before any parts are specified.

LS2 vs LS3 — Fitment Differences
LS2 and LS3 share the same basic cam fitment (same firing order, hydraulic roller lifters) but differ in factory compression ratio and valve spring specs. An LS3 runs higher compression from factory, which affects what cam profiles work on pump fuel. The cam kit for an LS2 build and an LS3 build in the same car may not be identical — valve spring selection matters.
IMS stocks matched cam kits (camshaft, springs, pushrods, rockers) for both LS2 and LS3 applications. The kit takes the guesswork out of spring selection.
