About the BTR Red Hot

BTR's Red Hot is their newest LS cam and it punches above its spec sheet. In back-to-back dyno testing it outmade BTR's own Stage 2 PDS and LS3 Centrifugal profiles with less intake duration — which tells you BTR's in-house lobe designs are doing real work here. It's built for 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L LS engines (Gen III and IV) and has been validated in both naturally aspirated and boosted applications.

The 113° LSA sits tighter than a Stage 3 but wider than a full race grind — that's the sweet spot for a street-driven car that makes serious power. Idle is aggressive. Not grocery-getter aggressive. Expect a lope. If that bothers you, go Stage 2.

For high-compression or boosted builds, BTR recommends E85 fuel. IMS runs these on the dyno regularly — call us before you buy if your combo is at the edge.

Australian Fitment

The Red Hot fits all Gen III/IV LS applications. In the Australian market that covers:

  • VE/VF Commodore — L98 (6.0L), LS3 (6.2L)
  • HSV — ClubSport, GTS, Maloo (LS3 6.2L)
  • VT–VZ Commodore — LS1 (5.7L) and LS2 (6.0L)
  • Holden Ute / Crewman — LS1, LS2
  • Pontiac/GTO/G8 — LS2, LS3
  • LS-swapped builds — BA/BF/FG Falcon, VL/VK, anything running a Gen III/IV block

Standard LS valvetrain hardware applies. IMS can spec valve springs, pushrods, and rockers to match — ask when ordering or call us for a full kit quote.
