If you're chasing aggressive idle, reliable high-RPM operation, or boost-ready valvetrain stability, the cam-and-spring combo is what makes or breaks the build. Wrong combination costs horsepower, lifter life, or a disassembled engine on the dyno. Our BTR range is the proven answer for LS and Gen III HEMI builds across Australia.
LS / LSX Builds
BTR's V2 series is their current flagship line, developed in-house with Spintron and engine dyno validation. The LS V2 lineup includes Stage 1 V2 through Stage 5 V2, the PDS Stage 1 Torque and PDS Stage 4 V2 for positive-displacement supercharger applications, Stage 4 Turbo V2, 400+ NA V2, the Red Hot, and the LS Truck Norris. BTR specifies that the LS1/LS2 Stage 2 V2 produces over 16% peak horsepower gain over the factory LS2 camshaft and requires their .660" lift Platinum spring kit with titanium retainers and hardened pushrods. The Stage 2 V2 Truck cam (BTR31218110) is positioned by BTR for DOD/AFM delete applications.
Spring options: BTR Platinum LS Dual Spring Kit (SK001) is rated to .660" lift, available in Steel or Titanium retainer trim. The Ultimate RPM family includes the SK702 (.685" lift, titanium retainers) and SK703 (.650" lift, titanium retainers). The BTR 1515 Beehive set is rated to .650" max lift. The SP011 is a .560" LS6-style beehive set.
Valvetrain hardware in the BTR range: Shaft Rocker Conversion Kits for LS1/LS2 and L76/L77/L98/LS3, the TK002 trunnion upgrade kit, complete BTR timing sets (TS4P/D and TS4P/ND), four-pole cam gears, HD timing chains, 11/32 chromoly pushrods in multiple lengths, and LS1-specific machined valve lock sets.
Gen III HEMI Builds
BTR's 6.4 HEMI VVT cam range covers two grinds. The 224 is specced at 224/24X .611"/.609" with 111.5 LSA — BTR states 570+ HP at the crank and rates it stock converter friendly. The 228 is specced at 228/24X .611"/.609" with 111 LSA — BTR states 580+ HP at the crank and requires an aftermarket converter. Both ship with the VVT Limiter included; the installation tool (BTR-VVT-Hemi-Tool) is sold separately.
The 5.7 VVT lineup includes Stage 1, Stage 2 (BTR states 490+ HP at the crank, peak gain of 71 HP and 62 lb/ft at 6000 RPM), and Truck Norris cams. The complete Truck Cam & MDS Conversion Kit drops into 2009+ 5.7 RAM trucks. BTR specifies that all HEMI VVT cams require an aftermarket spring kit due to high valve lift and increased RPM in combination with the heavy OEM valves.
Spring kit options: SK017 (.650" lift VVT kit), SK024 (6.2/6.4 .650" kit), and SP021 drop-in springs (.625" lift) for 2009+ 5.7 HEMIs. Backed by HEMI valve spring shim sets, valve seal kits, OEM Mopar cam and crank bolts, valve spring locators, the BTR HEMI valve spring height mic, the GEN III HEMI VVT phaser tool, and the 8° phaser limiter.
