VY LSx Oil cooling upgrade

This customer brought his VY SS in to us running a little hotter than ideal: sometimes over the 130 degree mark.

A custom designed oil cooler was built by PWR based on our own specification.  The factory sump was simply too small for any kind of racing applications so we fitted a larger capacity sump.
A modified pick up is needed to suit the new large volume sump

We designed and engineered our very own billet aluminium oil filter block based on the design of the nascar style remote mount which are now very hard to come by.  (available here)  With a WIX large bore filter fitted, it gives the oil system a total of 10 litres of oil capacity

We have also found that if you are upgrading to a larger/hi-flowing oil pump it will flow more oil than the engine can return, emptying the sump causing oil cavitation and engine failure. If you are serious about your LS combo this is the upgrade you need.

With the stock front bumper refitted it completes that "stealth" appearance.  Final temp readings are well under 90 degrees, a 40 degree drop from before.
